Skill Ready Dona Ana (SRDA) is a multi-year project originally funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and implemented by the Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce in partnership with I+E. SRDA brings together the business, education and the government sectors to build “work and career readiness” services for employers and citizens across Dona Ana County. In 2012, the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce received a grant from I+E to bring WorkKeys*, an advanced measure of workplace skills developed by employers and ACT Inc., to Don~a Ana County.
Gail Estell is a long time member and leader of SNMSHRM of Las Cruces. She is also the Vice President of Administrative Services of Tresco. By implementing WorkKeys into their hiring process, Tresco now successfully recruits a more qualified employee who is willing to learn, become engaged, and is more vested in the success of the company.
